Who carries the risk?

1 · YOU, PERSONALLYYou answer to the inspectorA labour inspector can walk in and check your notices. As owner, manager or HR, you’re the one who has to answer for them.
2 · YOUR STAFFCan they actually read them?The statement of employees’ rights must be displayed in the official languages spoken in your workplace. English only may not be enough.
3 · THEN THE COMPANYCompliance orders and penaltiesMissing or outdated charts can lead to a compliance order, and ignoring one can end in fines for the company.
The law in brief. BCEA section 30: display a statement of employees’ rights where employees can read it, in the official languages spoken in the workplace. EEA section 25: display a notice informing employees about the Act.
